Milan Places To Eat

Recently I went to Milan for a 3-day weekend, I stayed in Le Texture Guest house, which has a great location in the center of Milan with the Duomo just around the corner (5-minute walk). Just be aware it is a guest house, so it’s a block of flats with 5 bedrooms with an ensuite and it is not a proper hotel, but still a great place to stay.

Whilst I was there I used the ‘Find my GF’ app to find places that offered GF food.

So heres my suggestions

Pizza & Pasta:

  • Pizzeria Positano Milano (in the area of Carrobbio which isn’t far from the Duomo), it does get very busy quickly so try to get there early to get a seat, we had a take-out but it was ready within 5 minutes so quick! *see photo
  • Ò Peperino - although I did not try it myself this was my second option for GF pizza/pasta with lots of positive reviews
  • Ristorante Pizzeria Dogana - Not experienced myself but was another option on my list of places

Lunch

Personally on my trip I did not have lunch, it was too hot and I just lost my appetite during the day! But from my research, these were the best places to go for lunch.

  • Bistrò, this is reported to be dedicated to GF. Offering sandwiches, pastries, pasta, pancakes, and burgers! This place has so many good reviews too!
  • Pan Per Me, offers pastries and sandwiches too!

Then there are the pizza and pasta restaurant suggestions above too!

Bakeries

  • GluFree Bakery - Offers Pizza, sandwiches, pastries, sweet bites like cakes and bread. Dedicated to GF and lots of positive reviews from other Coeliacs and reasonably priced GF food! *Be aware not open on Sunday!
  • Pasticceria Navotti Senza Glutine Milano- Another dedicated GF bakery in Milan.  The owner is Coeliac too and they have lots of options
  • Officina Zero- Lots of choices and 100% GF. For example, Focaccia breads, sandwiches, baguettes and sweet treats (crossiants, cakes and tarts). Staff are really friendly too!
  • Pan Per Me- Really cute bakery, loads of choice such as focaccia breads and quiches as well as sweet treats! *Closed on Mondays

Shops

  • Milano Senza Glutine - Gluten free supermarket *Closed on Sundays
  • Celiachia Milano- Gluten Free shop- described as Coeliac/GF heaven!! *Closed on Sundays
