I stayed in Orxeta during my holiday in Spain and the surrounding areas I visited for food were Alicante, Albir, Altea and Benidorm.
- The Brunch Box (Benidorm) - They offer amazing GF pancakes, it's best to let them know in advance that you will want gluten free pancakes, as they can ensure the batter is made up as on busy days they aren't able to accommodate. They also do GF toast and a full english breakfast but without the hash browns and sausages, as they aren't gluten free sadly!
- Burger King- They have the options of a Whopper, Burger & Cheese Burger with chips. Personally I prefer Burger King over McDonalds GF.
- McDonald’s- Offer a triple cheeseburger, double cheese burger, cheeseburger & hamburger ( but you must do +1 on the gf burger bun or they won’t swap it out for a GF one) and for breakfast they do Bacon n Egg McMuffin, but must add GF burger bun! It isn't very clear that you have to add the GF bun and I made this mistake the first time.
- El Pantano (Orxeta) - GF Burgers available, amazing value for money!! Highly recommend going here and it’s beautiful in the mountains, not far from Benidorm but it would be a taxi or car journey!
- MP Restaurant (Albir)- Offer gluten free pizzas, which are amazing, it felt like I was back in Italy. Albir is also very pretty and not far from Benidorm.
- Little The Italy (Altea)- A lovely little restaurant in Altea, a stunning town which is SO worth the trip to! It's not too far from Benidorm, just past Albir and they have lots of small nice restaurants. The seafront is also so pretty and has lots of restaurants along it!
- Bakery Panderia J.M Garcia (Alicante) - an incredible gluten free bakery! They offer sweet and savoury pastries, cakes, churros as well as bread. There is so much choice and amazing value for money! This is a must visit! They are also so lovely there!
I really do recommend Spain for a holiday! They have been my favourite for gluten free so far!
