My Snacking Advice as a Coeliac

I honestly think snacking can be so hard as a coeliac! I find that I always snack on unhealthy things like cupcakes and biscuits. The free from section is predominantly sweet snacks which makes it so easy to grab and snack on those. So I’m trying to snack more healthily, I’m broadening my options and trying to venture out of just the free from section. 


So here is my list of gluten free snacks ideas :

  • Popcorn- easy to snack on and naturally gluten free 
  • Protein bars - Brands: Kind Protein, Trek Flapjacks, Nakd bars, Eat Natural
  • Snack bars- Deliciously Ella, Bliss bars, Buttermilk 
  • Nuts- my favourite is Graze BBQ Crunch bag, Aldi do their own version which is super yummy too! Love Corn is a similar brand and also super yummy! But you can just snack on general nuts too as a snack! 
  • Pop chips- healthier crisps, they’re gluten free and just a good snack
  • Eat Real Lentil Crisps- I LOVE these, they’re healthy and taste amazing and GF & vegan! Highly recommend, you’ll find them in the free from section!
  • Pretzels, Schars gluten free pretzels are amazing and a quick GF snack! Really recommend these! 
  • Fruit! The best choice sometimes and you know it’s GF! Even a banana is a great snack! 
  • Rice crackers, a perfect savoury snack!! You can get sweet chilli flavour and barbeque! (Sainsburys)
  • Rice cakes! These are a perfect light snack, you can get coated ones, such as yoghurt and chocolate which are super yummy!!

Of course, you can snack on biscuits and cupcakes etc! Whatever fulfils you! But, these were just some ideas!
